Isabella Lake Fishing Derby

Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce presents what is being called the world's largest amateur trout derby - The Isabella Lake Fishing Derby - now in its 25th year. Held at one of largest fresh water lakes in southern California, and located less than three hours north of the Los Angeles area.  The 2014 event is looking to be the best yet!

With over $100,000 in prizes, everyone has a chance to win. We will have one tagged trout worth $25,000. In addition, we will have five tagged trout worth $1,000 each, five worth $500 each, and 489 worth $50 to $100. A list of the tag numbers and their values will be given to you at Derby Headquarters. If a $1,000 tagged trout is caught while wearing the official 2014 Isabella Lake Fishing Derby T-Shirt, during the three day event, that prize will increase to $2,500. If not caught during the Derby, the $25,000 tagged trout will be worth $10,000 and all $1,000 fish will stay at their current value from April 15 to September 1, 2014. Good luck everyone, and we look forward to your visit to our lake.
